A Very Sad Loss

Our deepest condolences to friends Mary and Bruce Keiser on the tragic loss of their Gordon boy Rigel, Moonsetter Everso Sirius. He couldn't have asked for better owners, and words will never be enough.

Happy One Week Birthday K-Litter!

The K babies are one week old today - time sure goes by quickly. These guys are amazing us with how fast they're growing, as much as a half pound (that's over 8 ounces!!) in 24 hours!!

Moonsetter welcomed the "K" Litter into the world on October 26, 2010. Seven puppies in all, 6 boys and 1 girl. Proud parents are Regan (Moonsetter Field of Her Own) and Boomer (Ch. Moonsetter Boomerang Sirius JH). Mom and pups are doing great!

A Day in the Field

It's always fun to work the young dogs on birds and see their once hidden potential. Like this beautiful photo of our boy Aiden on point taken last weekend. We always knew he had it in him (with a name like "Hell Yes" how could he not? :-) but this point only proves what a thrilling dog he'll be to hunt.

Not to be outdone by her grandson, grandma Belle at almost 12 had to have her day in the field too. Having slowed down too much to hunt this fall, her first season staying home, we can't deny her the occasional bird to work and point. There will never be another dog like her, no matter how hard they try :-)

A Sad Goodbye

This past weekend in Elkhorn, Wisconsin we attended the Gordon Highlanders "Great Lakes Specialty Shows". Our daughter Olivia won Best Junior Handler with her girl Aisling at both back-to-back shows! Congrats to Livi and Ash!!
