A Day in the Field

It's always fun to work the young dogs on birds and see their once hidden potential. Like this beautiful photo of our boy Aiden on point taken last weekend. We always knew he had it in him (with a name like "Hell Yes" how could he not? :-) but this point only proves what a thrilling dog he'll be to hunt.

Not to be outdone by her grandson, grandma Belle at almost 12 had to have her day in the field too. Having slowed down too much to hunt this fall, her first season staying home, we can't deny her the occasional bird to work and point. There will never be another dog like her, no matter how hard they try :-)

A Sad Goodbye

Our sincerest condolences to the family of Gandalf who said goodbye to him this week. May you find comfort in knowing he crossed the Rainbow Bridge to run freely and happily with the many beloved Gordons who have gone before him.
